Here we are again, in the last ragged breaths of the Old Year.

In Honor of the Pagan Traditions of Men
I have something(s) up my sleeves...
It's about 6a.m. and I just put the finishing touches on a project that was born earlier this month during the drive to see Behold the Lamb. Just need to mod podge a few more ideas together when I finally get up tomorrow (today), and then the entire thing will be ready for its new home!
[Hint: the Intangible has been made tangible, blank canvases made colorful, the impractical will be useful, and all will be 100% saccharine and nonesense. Hmmm, what have I done? ;) ]
Creating into the late night hours until everything is either just right, you come to a good stopping point, or you're too exhausted to continue = worth it.
So, now to itch until I fall asleep. Rashes suck.

Little Things
An old Christmas show is on in the living room, Momma made hot cocoa from scratch, and there's sweet cornbread cooling on the stove. It's cozy, toasty warm, and there's an actual thin white sheet of snow blanketing the world outside my house, so here's a few cute things in celebration of this "Christmas miracle." ;)

Of A Feather
Welcome to this aviary of a post. I suddenly have so much to say, and I'm not sure I can get it all out before all the half-way decent bedtimes pass me by. This is going to be a long one, so grab your boots if you're coming with.

Billy Joel & Other Thoughts
Cognitive dissonance refers to a situation involving conflicting attitudes, beliefs or behaviors. This produces a feeling of discomfort leading to an alteration in one of the attitudes, beliefs or behaviors to reduce the discomfort and restore balance etc.
Trying to make sense of anything while "Allentown" is mercilessly on repeat in your head is virtually impossible, so obviously that means I have to listen to it and a bunch of other 80's jams while I write.

Pizza & Pomegranates
“On its hem you shall make pomegranates of blue and purple and scarlet yarns, around its hem, with bells of gold between them, a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, around the hem of the robe. And it shall be on Aaron when he ministers, and its sound shall be heard when he goes into the Holy Place before the Lord, and when he comes out, so that he does not die.”
Exodus 28:33 – 35

Sleepless Stream
If those "Why Are You Single?" quizzes would stop hunting me down in my happy place (Pinterest), that'd be great.
My world is filling up with birds and I can barely keep up with the flocks of them. They're the common thread right now, spilling out of every corner; it's a little weird the things that pop into your field of vision once you have established that there is a pattern to find. Does it do it on it's own, or is it all you?

Cyclical
The thoughts that come true are usually the quiet ones that stand just behind your right ear and say, "It won't be this way in six months, just wait."

Musing
There's something in this craft sometimes, the repetition of certain words or notes or gestures, that brings you to a place that feels like worship when you close your eyes and start to move with it, even if it isn't written specifically for Him. I wonder if that's wrong or just part of what music is.
Nesting
I'm prepping this space as if people will see it, but I don't yet know what to fill it with aesthetic-wise to get it to resemble me.
